We are very pleased to announce that CAIR-Philadelphia’s 2013 dinner and fundraising banquet will be held on Saturday, March 16th at Springfield Country Club in Springfield, PA.
We’ve put together a very impressive mix of speakers and entertainers for the evening. Our keynote speaker, Zarqa Nawaz, created the television series Little Mosque on the Prairie in 2007, which ultimately became CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) Television’s top rated sitcom. Little Mosque airs in over 60 countries worldwide and has garnered numerous national and international awards.
Imam Siraj Wahhaj will join us as our motivational speaker for the evening. Imam Wahhaj is currently the Imam of Al-Taqwa mosque in Brooklyn, New York and the Amir (leader) of the Muslim Alliance in North America (MANA). He is a convert to Islam and a public figure for Muslims in North America.
Baba Ali, a comedian who successfully uses humor for lighthearted Muslim-based entertainment, will be our master of ceremonies and entertainer. Baba Ali is co-founder of UmmahFilms, a film company that has produced several video web series including the “Reminder” series and “Ask Baba Ali” series.
Children will be entertained by the amazing, fun-filled shows of Kurt’s Magic World and The Juggling Hoffmans.
We are working hard to make this an exciting and fun-filled event for the entire family! We hope you come out and share this wonderful evening with us.
