On Saturday, November 18th, 2023, CAIR-Philadelphia held its second Young Professionals Event at the Khair Community Center in Phoenixville. The goal of our Young Professionals events is to connect with the 21-35-year-old Muslims within our community. The Young Professionals Bonfire hosted approximately 35 young professionals from all over the greater Philadelphia area who came with a common goal of connecting with other young Muslims professionals in the area.
Our theme “Navigating the Gaza Humanitarian Crisis and Our Professional Lives” guided a fruitful conversation. CAIR-Philadelphia’s Paralegal Sister Iman Ahmed and board member and current law student Humna Rub discussed rights employees have in the workplace and gave advice on how to navigate situations as they arise.
Our group was also joined by Ustadh Isa Bin Matta, who welcomed us on behalf of the Khair Community Center and after Isha concluded our event by leading us all in a dua’a for our sisters and brothers in Palestine.
