As our community is going through a difficult time, I want to provide resources to help with your advocacy and potential civil rights needs from CAIR-Philadelphia that serves both PA and Delaware.
I invite you to read CAIR-Philadelphia’s Annual Impact Report and explore how you can connect with our work to defend, protect and empower our Pennsylvania and Delaware Muslim communities. Throughout this month, we will share with you highlights from our report and our ongoing work.
As many of you know, I hail from Turkiye -- I am the only member of my family living in the US. As I sat by my laptop at 2 AM Monday morning, I saw the news coming from Turkiye and Syria. What was not immediately clear at that point is that the earthquake that hit the region is one of those once-in-a-century disasters that we are accustomed to read in history books.
Serving a civil rights and advocacy organization in Philadelphia, a historic site for American-Muslim life, brings a great deal of responsibility. In my new position as the Executive Director of CAIR-Philadelphia, I will work hard to further deliver on this responsibility and develop CAIR-Philadelphia’s capacity to serve our communities.
Because of you, we’re building a hate-free America with every case. When you donate to CAIR-Philadelphia, you support our efforts to defend civil rights and empower Muslims in the greater Delaware Valley.
American Muslim civic engagement is the foundation upon which we can secure our community's long-term interests and make our contributions to the broader community. Our many successes could not have happened but for your generous support that sustained CAIR-Philadelphia even throughout this pandemic-infected year.
