(PHILADELPHIA, PA, 1/10/2008) – Some 50 people turned out yesterday for a workshop offered by the Philadelphia chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-PA) on the Quranic view of people of other faiths.
The workshop, titled “Islam and the View of the Other in the Quran,” was conducted by CAIR-PA Board Chairperson Iftekhar Hussain at the Kendal-Crosslands retirement community in Kennett Square, PA.
“The workshop generated a great deal of interest in Islam and there was good discussion and good response from the audience in the form of questions. There was interest following the meeting in holding a series of talks,” said Eileen Jean Talbott, the facilitator of the event.
