(Philadelphia, PA 10/24/07) – Today the Council on American-Islamic Relations-Pennsylvania (CAIR-PA) was present at the court sentencing of a hate crime case today to show its support for Ms. Nina Timani in her search for justice. We hope that the sentence imposed today will send a strong message to all Americans that it is not acceptable to succumb to a tide of fear and intolerance, and perpetrate actions intended to intimidate and terrorize individuals on their perceived membership in a religious, racial or cultural group.
Ms. Timani was the victim of a hate crime that the FBI cracked earlier this year.
