In response to the alarming rise in anti-Muslim hate crimes and rhetoric in the past year, and especially after the election, CAIR-Philadelphia and Islamic Society of Delaware are hosting a community town hall meeting on Friday, December 2nd, at 6:00 pm, at ISD (28 Salem Church Road, Newark DE 19713).
Speakers include Ryan Houldin (CAIR Staff Attorney) and Ryan Tack-Hooper (ACLU-DE Staff Attorney).
And CAIR-Philadelphia and Emerge USA will host a community town hall meeting on Friday, December 16th, at 6:30 pm, at Villanova Masjid (Foundation for Islamic Education) – 1860 Montgomery Ave, Villanova PA.
Speakers include CAIR-Philadelphia Staff Attorney Ryan Houldin, Ijaz Chaudhry, Esq., and Dr. Asif Ilyas.
The town halls will provide community members the opportunity to have an open discussion and voice concerns facing the Muslim community. Additionally, there will be an exploration of potential responses to the current situation, including a list of next steps needed to ensure meaningful solutions.
