On Thursday July 7, CAIR-Philadelphia’s Ahmet Selim Tekelioglu joined Gov. Wolf and First Lady Frances Wolf together with other members of the Pennsylvania Muslim communities at an Eid dinner hosted at the Governor’s Residence in Harrisburg by the Governor’s Advisory Commission on Asian Pacific Affairs and African American Affairs.
The dinner started with a reception and continued with welcome remarks from Governor Wolf and an opening prayer by Imam Idris Abdul-Zahir from Masjidullah.
The diverse set of guests were able to connect in this first Eid dinner since the pandemic. CAIR-Philadelphia appreciates the Governor’s hospitality and respect for Muslim Pennsylvanians and the Commissions’ commitment to advancing a fully inclusive Pennsylvania.
