The First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia is a proud sponsor of Day of Dignity. Inspired by the mission and vision of Islamic Relief, members of the Unitarian church are committed to work towards a more just, peaceful, compassionate, and equitable urban community. Reverend Nate Walker, minister of the church, says, “We partner in this annual interfaith event for three reasons: to preserve the inherent worth and dignity of our homeless neighbors; to promote compassion in human relations; and to affirm the goal of a world community. When working together we are truly united.”
