Our community is the best! We are grateful for your support!

On behalf of our chapter, we want to thank our community for showing up so strongly for our banquet despite disingenuous attacks. We had a sold-out and beautifully diverse room full of community members from across the region!

Please know that we value every single donation, regardless of the amount; your support makes a difference to our work.

We are seeking 500 sustainers who can support us at $30 a month. Become a Champion of Justice TODAY!

To all of our community who were able to join us from near and far to support our fundraiser, we extend a heartfelt THANK YOU!

Many thanks to our sponsors for supporting our program!

We were joined by more than 830 American Muslims, social justice activists, family, friends, and allies, along with political, community, religious and interfaith leaders, and representatives from almost all of the Delaware Valley’s many Islamic centers and mosques.

The evening highlighted CAIR-Philadelphia’s civil rights work, and how we raised up to the challenges our community experienced in the last 5 months. The keynote speaker for the event was Shaykh Yasir Fahmy.

The banquet was MCed by Sarah Baig, a young professional who hails from our Lehigh Valley community. Following the reception where vendors engaged with our community, State Senator Tim Kearney addressed the audience, the program started with a beautiful recitation by Maryam Alhassan from Masjid AlWasatiya in Southwest Philadelphia.

World-renowned faith leader Shaykh Yasir Fahmy emphasized the need for CAIR-Philadelphia’s ongoing services to the area Muslims, and he encouraged our community to fully embrace our faith, be prepared for Ramadan and speak truth to power. After the keynote speech, former basketball star, current youth director and spoken word artist Ibrahim Jaaber performed 4 poems that drew high praise from the audience.

Once again, CAIR-Philadelphia Creative Director Jacob Bender directed a dramatic presentation featuring CAIR-Philadelphia’s civil rights and advocacy work, presented by CAIR-Philadelphia staff members Zeynep Emanet, Fariba Amani, Iman Ahmad, Tanzeela Rafe, Timothy Welbeck, Asiyah Jones, and Ahmet Tekelioglu, alongside our board member Salma Abdel-Azim, and community members Noor Bowman, Asiya Bowman, Mohammad Sanogo and Mariame Sanogo. The evening concluded with standup comedy by prominent comic Nadirah Pierre.
