Our 7th Annual Banquet Was a Success Because of YOU! Thank you for a wonderful evening!
CAIR-Philadelphia Executive Committee and Staff wish to thank you for a memorable and inspirational 7th annual banquet this past Saturday, March 16th. Due to your support, over 700 community members, leaders and activists attended and we raised $96,000. Your generous financial donations will assist in protecting civil liberties through legal services and advocating for critical issues affecting American Muslims, sponsoring and co-sponsoring innovative programs and events, creating media which tells unique stories of American Muslims, empowering community members, including youth, with trainings and workshops, and hosting presentations reaffirming that Muslims have been, and will continue to be major contributors to the betterment of society.
We are grateful for Zarqa Nawaz and Imam Siraj Wahhaj for their knowledge, leadership and inspirational speeches during the banquet. Comedian Baba Ali entertained children and adults alike. But most importantly, you came out and gave us your confidence once again. You’ve spoken loud and clear: We need to keep doing what we’re doing and do it better, and that is a promise we intend to keep.
