Since 2008, a wave of Islamophobia – the irrational fear and/or hatred of Islam and Muslims – has taken root in some corners of the American consciousness. CAIR has done extensive research on this phenomenon and has developed a seminar called Understanding & Challenging Islamophobia to help communities understand the root causes of Islamophobia and what can be done about it. The section is still a work in progress and we will continue to add useful information, but as of now visitors to our website can request a seminar, read news and articles regarding Islamophobia from around the world and much more.
