Forced to Pray by a Dumpster, then Terminated for Hajj

A local Muslim man who worked at a prominent grocery store chain had been experiencing pervasive harassment from supervisors due to his Islamic faith. At one point, he was not allowed to pray in a private area and was forced outside near the trash dumpsters. The harassment became worse after he decided to perform the hajj pilgrimage. Soon thereafter, he was terminated from employment. CAIR-PA has taken his case and will pursue justice for him through all legal means. Stay tuned for updates.

A Muslim woman says she was forced to leave Abington Memorial Hospital without the care she needed, after a hospital staffer insulted her religion. CAIR-PA has advised her on her rights and will file a complaint with the state for violation of public accommodation.
