The US Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO), in partnership with Islamic Relief USA and affiliates, is once again organizing its annual National Muslim Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill, slated to occur on Monday, April 29, and Tuesday, April 30, at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C!
CAIR-Philadelphia is leading the scheduling of meetings with Pennsylvania’s congressional delegation. We now need your commitment to join us in DC and meet with your congress member. The deadline to register for our state is Friday, April 19.
Delegates and activists will engage with congressional offices to address the pressing issues affecting American Muslims amidst today’s political landscape.
In a statement, CAIR-Philadelphia Advocacy Projects Director Asiyah Jones said,
“We urge every organization, mosque, institution, and activist to in our state to register for the Advocacy Day. Last year we came together in solidarity and strength and this year the need to show our numbers and discontent is more important than ever.
“The goal this year is clear: to push our members of Congress to support a ceasefire and to authorize funding for Gaza’s reconstruction, dollar for dollar. We will also advocate for issues that impact our communities — from the watchlist to specific concerns of Pennsylvania and Delaware Muslims.
