Accounting and Finance Director, CAIR-Philadelphia

Amani Aly was born to Egyptian immigrant parents and raised in NYC. She earned her B.Sc. degree from NYU’s Stern School of Business with a concentration in Accounting while simultaneously studying Islamic History and World Religions. Amani has lived on the Main Line of Philadelphia for the last 20 years and is currently running her own accounting business. She has been a freelance accountant for over 11 years working with various small to mid-size companies and non profit organizations.

Amani’s love of learning and deep desire to grow spiritually has lead her to study with various Muslim scholars in NY, NJ and PA. Several years ago, she had the good fortune of fulfilling one of the five pillars of her faith, namely Hajj, the pilgrimage to Makkah. As a direct result of embarking on that spiritual journey, she co-founded, Nur Al Huda, an organization focused on educational travel with leading Muslim scholars to sacred sites within the Islamic tradition.

In addition, Amani continues to serve on the Board of Amana Foundation, a local non-profit organization which she co-founded with several local Muslim families, dedicated to promoting service, charitable works and environmental activism.
