TODAY: CAIR-Philadelphia, Emgage Pennsylvania to Co-Host Muslim Capitol Day in Harrisburg

(PHILADELPHIA, PA, 10/28/2025) – On Tuesday, October 28 (press conference: 12:15 p.m.), the Philadelphia chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Philadelphia) and Emgage Pennsylvania (Emgage-PA) will co-host Muslim Capitol Day in Harrisburg, which is designed to help Muslim Pennsylvanians’ engagement with state-level politics and policymakers.

Muslim Capitol Day will include advocacy meetings with state senators and state representatives on issues impacting Muslim Pennsylvanians. Attendees will advocate for halal meals and prayer accommodations in state institutions, as well as pro-immigration and pro-free speech bills. They will also advocate for increased state funding for security at houses of worship. 

The day is scheduled to highlight a press conference starting at 12:15 p.m. at the lower level, East Wing Rotunda.
