Conestoga High-School Students visit Upper Darby Mosque

(Philadelphia, PA, 4/30/07) – The Philadelphia Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-PA) participated in a presentation about Islam and Muslims to Conestoga High School students at Masjid al-Madinah in Upper Darby, PA on Friday April 27, 2007.

“Visits by American high school students to local mosques is part of the outreach efforts organized by Muslims through their mosques in the Delaware Valley. The visits provide an insight to Pennsylvania students about their neighbors’ faith traditions,” said CAIR-PA Board member Mohammad Abdul-Aziz.

“We were happy that Conestoga High School 9th graders came a second year in a row to visit our mosque and learn about Islam and Muslims,” said Amin Abu-Rahman, the organizer of the visit from Masjid al-Madinah in Upper Darby.
