‘Building Bridges to Islam’ program a hit at Foundation for Islamic Education

(Philadelphia, PA, 4/30/07) – The Philadelphia Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-PA) conducted an all day ‘Days of Discovery’ program organized by the Elderhostel organization on Saturday April 28 2007 at the Foundation for Islamic Education, Villanova PA.

“Elderhostel has organized a wonderful bridge building program for its members to learn about Islam and Muslims. The goal of this series is to offer Elderhostelers in cities across the country an opportunity to enhance their knowledge of Islam, as well as to interact with members of their local Muslim communities,” said CAIR-PA Board Chair and instructor Iftekhar Hussain.

“I had a wonderful time teaching about ‘Islam and Gender’ to a great group of fifty two Elderhostelers,” said Sofia Ali-Khan, Vice Chair of CAIR-PA and one of the instructors at the program.

There are four more scheduled ‘Bridging Bridges to Islam’ scheduled on May 12, May 26, June 9 and June 23. For more information, please visit http://www.elderhostel.com/programs/programdetail.asp?RowId=1%2D3YIOV5
