Muslim Gamechangers Network (MGN-PA) is a 4-week civic leadership, advocacy, and organizing training program for Muslim high school/college students across the Greater Philadelphia and Pennsylvania region. Apply Today!
The first PA based cohort will take place at MYCP in Northeast Philadelphia during the following dates: Saturday August 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd from 10:30AM to 12PM. It is highly encouraged that attendees participate in all 4 sessions. The final day of the program will be the completion of the program in which all attendees will receive certificates of completion. Students who attend and participate in ALL 4 sessions will receive letters of recommendations to be used for college/job applications. Students may also be eligible for community service hours depending on their school criteria.
The program introduces students to:
- Civil rights and social justice frameworks
- The role of government and policy in shaping their lives
- Community organizing and advocacy skills
MGN serves as the entry point pipeline into more advanced leadership opportunities, including:
- Future city/statewide advocacy days (Muslim Capitol Day and Muslim City Hall Day)
- National advocacy engagement (DC – USCMO Hill Day)
- Internships/Fellowships with CAIR Philadelphia
