An expert panel will highlight The Lancaster Avenue Historic New Freedom District initiative as a continuum of the Juneteenth commemoration of when African Americans became aware of the Emancipation Proclamation ending slavery, and the Great Migration when African American fled the deep south to escape the oppressive evils of Jim Crow and white supremacy and the 100th anniversary of Tulsa, OK 1921 Black Wall Street Massacre. This initiative is to preserve our legacy and to uplift the voices, resilience, and spirit of our ancestors. Join the panelists and enjoy a number of short documentaries during the live programs.
