Zehra is the founder of a boutique travel company, Palanquin Travels, and a women’s travel community, “Her Palanquin”. Palanquin Travels is an organization focused on building community through travel. Palanquin stems from a need for Muslim women to gain the confidence and understanding necessary to develop themselves through travel. This is a space where women support women to grow their self-confidence and be empowered by traveling the world.
Previously, Zehra served on the board of Wilmington Montessori School in Wilmington, Delaware (2017-2021) and as executive director of Delaware Speakers Bureau (2011-2019).
