(Philadelphia, 7/11/07) – The Council on American-Islamic Relations-Pennsylvania (CAIR-PA) will participate in an interfaith presentation titled “Call to Action: An Interfaith Perspective” at the Glenside Interfaith Dialogue. “Call to Action” will engage the audience and panelists from the Jewish, Christian and Muslim faith traditions in three weeks of dialogue about the roots, realities and possibilities of social justice work in and among these faith communities.

The program for Week 1 (Wednesday, July 11), entitled “Why We Act?” will explore the theological and scriptural foundations for the call to action in each of these faith traditions.

The program for Week 2 (Wednesday, July 18), entitled “How We Act?” will explore how the call to action is or should be manifest today in particular actions in our local faith communities.

The program for Week 3 (Wednesday, July 25), entitled “Can We Act Together?” will explore the potential and limitations for joint social action among local Muslim, Christian and Jewish faith communities.

All three weeks will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 120 S. Easton Road, Glenside, PA 19038, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and with time for refreshment and fellowship following the program.
