At this moment of racial justice reckoning in Pittsburgh and around the world, The Pittsburgh Coalition to End the Deadly Exchange (DX) supports the Black-led movement to end state-sanctioned violence.
We support the twelve demands presented by the Allegheny County Black Activist/Organizer Collective to Mayor Bill Peduto. The second of those demands focuses on demilitarizing the police and halting the training exchanges with the Israeli Defense Forces.
Our petition is in concert with that demand, and a national and international effort to end the militarized training sessions that embolden racial brutalization in Pittsburgh and around the world.
Pease sign, share, and continue to support this and all twelve (12) of the demands of the Allegheny County Black Activist/Organizer Collective.
Police departments in Allegheny County have participated in the following training exchanges over the past three years:
In 2018, Pittsburgh Chief of Police Scott Schubert attended a National Counter-Terrorism Seminar in Israel, hosted by the Anti-Defamation League.
In 2017, Pittsburgh Police Assistant Chief Anna Kudrava attended a National Counter-Terrorism Seminar in Israel, hosted by the Anti-Defamation League.
