On Aug 25th Pittsburgher residents marched to rally for anti-war. Thomas Merton Center and CAIR Pittsburgh and several other organizations endorsed the rally and participated in the march. The march began at Schenley Plaza and ended at CMU’s campus. The raging grannies presented a song protesting U.S. wars. The marchers carried banners with anti-war slogans, protesting U.S. war on nations round the world, and the U.S. spending on war, using people’s money. CAIR Pittsburgh’s President, Safdar Khwaja, spoke at the rally among eight others at four different points in the march. The march was an overall success.
