Mr. Khwaja was born in the UK and raised in the UK and Pakistan. Living in the USA since 1977, and a naturalized citizen since 1986. Married with three children. He has been a Pittsburgh resident for 27-years. Earned his BS Engineering from University of Engineering, Lahore, Pakistan. MS Engineering from State Univ. NY at Buffalo. MBA, Katz School, Univ. of Pittsburgh. Has worked as Engineer for Westinghouse Nuclear Services. Currently working as a Director of Business Segment, for Controls & Automation with Emerson Process Management in Pittsburgh. Has lived and/or worked in USA, UK, Pakistan, Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan.

Founding member of MCCGP [Muslim Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh] in 1986, and played leading role in organizing and building the Community Center and Mosque. Served in multiple elected roles, President, Treasurer and secretary at MCCGP over the years. Also, Current Treasurer and past President of Pittsburgh Muslim Community Trust. Volunteer teacher in the Pittsburgh school system. Soccer Coach for Murrysville Area. Continuous representative in Outreach, and Interfaith dialogue. Actively represented Muslim community on TV and Radio debates in the past five years.
