Second Annual Interfaith Iftar

Over 100 guests participated in CAIR-Philadelphia’s Second Annual Interfaith Iftar Dinner at the Friends Center in Center City Philadelphia. Representatives from the Jewish and Christian communities joined with Muslim friends in celebrating the breaking of the daily fast during the Sacred Month of Ramadan.

Presentations on the themes of fasting, charity, and identity were made by three remarkable women religious leaders of Philadelphia: (Above, L-R) Prof. Fariha Khan of the University of Pennsylvania; The Very Rev. Judith Sullivan, Dean of the Episcopal Cathedral of Philadelphia; and Rabbi Nancy Fuchs Kreimer of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College.

Last week at the Philadelphia City Hall Iftar on June 23rd, Mayor Jim Kenney stopped for a photo-op with two of his guests, CAIR-Philly President Osama Al-Qasem and CAIR-Philly Executive Director Jacob Bender.
