American Muslims are increasingly being recognized as an important part of the American political community. To properly participate, however, we must educate ourselves on the issues affecting our community. CAIR-Philadelphia has identified pending legislation which we believe will have significant impact upon the Muslim community, either because the legislation directly targets the Muslim community for discriminatory treatment, or because the legislation seeks to remedy such treatment.
