CAIR-PA participates in the Mid-Atlantic Dialogue between Catholics and Muslims

CAIR-PA Civil Rights Director Moein Khawaja traveled to Somerset, NJ on May 6, 2010 to give a presentation at the Mid-Atlantic Dialogue between Catholics and Muslims. This dialogue has been going on since 1996 between members of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA). This year’s dialogue focused on inaccurate and biased educational materials and how they affect both the Catholic and Muslim communities. CAIR-PA’s presentation focused specifically on the biased “World of Islam” series produced by Mason Crest and the Foreign Policy Research Institute. Both Catholic Bishops and ICNA leaders committed themselves to spreading awareness on the project.
