Past Interns
Scott Mayland

Scott is a junior at the University of Pennsylvania and is interested in pursuing a career in law and public policy. Scott chose to intern with CAIR-PA because he hopes to both gain an experience with case intake and because ensuring and working to preserve civil rights is an important goal in guaranteeing social justice for all Americans. Scott strongly identifies with CAIR’s goals because the civil rights of Muslim Americans are especially vulnerable in today’s world; the fact that the United States has not always defended the rights of its minorities is a testament to why more people should stand up to demand equal civil rights for all. In addition to working for CAIR-PA, Scott is also a member of the University of Pennsylvania’s first globalization studies workgroup.
