Internship Program

As Salaamu Alaikum,

The Philadelphia Chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations is currently offering internship opportunities at our Center City office. CAIR is the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization. Our mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding. Internships at CAIR-PA offer undergraduate students a great opportunity to learn, interact, and grow in a friendly and diverse environment.

Here at CAIR-PA, we are convinced that the best way to secure a better future for us all is to empower young Americans with the skills they need to make a difference. There is no better teacher than experience. From our office in center city, CAIR-PA interns will work with chapter staff on substantive projects that lay the foundation for a more active and vibrant Muslim community. Interns will also develop professional skills, gain insight into the societal impact of public service, and familiarize themselves with the daily operations of a non-profit civil rights organization.

As a young chapter with a fledging internship program, there is tremendous potential for students who demonstrate competency and enthusiasm to be entrusted with significant responsibility. Successful discharge of those responsibilities is an excellent way of demonstrating your value to future employers.
